The story wasn't really told,...I felt the same way. The story wasn't really told, it felt like the screen writer took peices of the book and put them together. I never felt the intensity of their relationship, or felt any of the personalities of the characters, particularly Edward. There were some moments that I was like "Yes!" and then it all went away. Bugger.

Unfortunatley my friend, I read that most of the actors have already signed on for the rest of the movies, so a re-cast seems like a no go.Mango Galhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05543702574084617302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6413534895984992726.post-12739833288845272672008-12-05T15:48:00.000-05:002008-12-05T15:48:00.000-05:00Tamsterg - don't you feel like it was just a monta...Tamsterg - don't you feel like it was just a montage of moments? I felt like there was no story line, just images strung together. :|
Anyways, I agree with you.

Nadi - What? OMG. Another Matthew McConaughey on our hands. Nasty. And believe it or not, I never watched Buffy so I can't make the comparison!Melihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05592335675501031150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6413534895984992726.post-23605080453968462702008-12-05T13:54:00.000-05:002008-12-05T13:54:00.000-05:00I never knew about these books, so I wouldn't real...I never knew about these books, so I wouldn't really want to see the movie anyway...but judging by the general storyline...um...Buffy anyone? It's been done...Buffy and Angel...that's all I have to say...

Now, This kid who plays edward talks like a total idiot. sorry...but (paraphrasing) "i don't wash my hair, because I don't see the need for it?" really? REALLY? you're gross.

::rant over::nadiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15788767611955710774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6413534895984992726.post-3387656410918631622008-12-05T11:42:00.000-05:002008-12-05T11:42:00.000-05:00I think that everyone jumped on the Twilight bandw...I think that everyone jumped on the Twilight bandwagon once the movie was presented to their naive eyes. Why do I say "their"... I was one of them! I read all four books in the span of a week and a half. I spent my Thanksgiving break in North Carolina reading all four. I saw the movie whilst up there and I have to agree and disagree with you on some points. I think that the director was wrong for the adaptation. She had Edward (Pattinson) going up and down up and down up and down in his character. She made Bella too Needy and obsessive and weak. It felt like a sparknotes version of the book. they left out vital aspects of the relationships between bella and edward, edward and his family, bella and hers as well as the dynamics in the school. I think that people would have sat through a longer movie if it really explained all of that rather that crunching it all into an hour and a half for the sake of simplicity. The Twilight series needs a better director (perhaps the director that did "SPEAK" also starring Stewart or the Harry Potter guy). The reason for this: Some people will not read the rest of the series because the movie was crap.tamsterghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05435243023907486248noreply@blogger.com
